SPAIN has many strange festival. One of them is festival throws goat. Each year on the fourth weekend in January, the people of a small town named Manganeses de la Polvorosa will gather for this festival as a mark of honor in the St Vincent de Paul.

This festival has been going on for so long and no one knows when it started. The festival will involve a young boy who finds goat in the village, goat and tied, and then brought up to the top of the belfry.

Then, they will drop the goat from a height of more than 50 feet where the goat was (hopefully) caught by villagers who holds tarpaulin sheets. Not much different is the tradition of throwing the baby who is in India, the only difference lies in the object that is thrown away.

Actually, local government officials have banned this activity but in fact until now the festival continues. Various animal rights organizations complained about this, but nonetheless ritual executed.
